School winners gathered on Thursday, January 13th, to complete in the Upshur County Schools Spelling Bee. Bryce Nguyen, 8th grade student at Buckhannon-Upshur Middle School, was named Upshur County's First Place Spelling Bee winner. 6th grade student, Kenton Stump, received Second Place, and 8th grade student, Lila Wright, received Third Place. 5th grade student, Bella Wolfe, who represented French Creek Elementary School is the alternate, in the event one of the winners cannot attend the Regional Spelling Bee. Congratulations to all participants, and best of luck to our winners as you go on to compete in the Regional Spelling Bee!
