Tuesday, February 28, the students and animals with the B-U Zoo loaded up and traveled down the road the Washington District Elementary School. Each grade, pre-k through 5th was given the opportunity to interact with the animals and was given a lesson on the animals. The zoo currently has geckos, poison dart frogs, a tortoise , rabbits, a chinchilla, and Axolotls. The elementary students were very attentive and engaged in all of the presentations and had a great time. The B-U Zoo student loved the interactions with the younger students and even got to participate in some recess activities. It w as a great first trip for the B-U Zoo!
