Mrs. Spratt's math classes did an “Elf Stuck on a Shelf” project. Students used the engineering design process to create, build, and test a vehicle that would allow the elf to get off the shelf using a snow covered slope. They had $10 to spend on supplies that included cardstock, pipe cleaners, straws, candy canes, toilet paper rolls, paperclips, and tape. We used a “test elf” for the trials and then will use the “real” elf for the final run!
