Upshur County Schools are inviting students to get out and stay active this summer! With that in mind, we have worked with the Upshur County Commission and WV Division of Natural Resources to provide the following opportunities for our students and their families.
1. Free family season pool passes (up to six members) to the Upshur County Recreational Park.

Upshur County Schools Student Technology and Internet Access Survey

The West Virginia Department of Education (WVDE) is requesting information about students' internet and technology device access at home in the form of a survey. This information will be utilized to help with future planning and funding opportunities. We want to be sure to provide resources to improve student connectivity and access and are asking for your support. Please complete the survey with your response(s) by May 28, 2021.

The FDA has authorized the Pfizer vaccine for children between the ages of 12 and 15. We will be holding a vaccine clinic for 12-15 year-olds on Wednesday, May 19th at Buckhannon-Upshur High School from 9am to 12pm. For those of you with children in this age range, feel free to complete the survey, using the link below, to indicate your family's interest.

The West Virginia Department of Education (WVDE) has encouraged county school districts to request information regarding the interest of vaccinations for 12-15 year old students. Upshur County Schools are working closely with Community Care of West Virginia (CCWV) and other community partners to estimate the total number of people who are interested in receiving the vaccine. A community vaccination clinic will be held on Friday, April 30th, at the Brushy Fork Event Center (Armory) in Buckhannon. The clinic is accepting walk-ins! Those who would like to be vaccinated may come between the hours of 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. The vaccine available is Pfizer. You must bring a valid West Virginia ID. Persons between the ages of 16-17 must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian.
Students, the vaccine is available to anyone over 16! Talk with your family members if you are interested. Vaccination is one way to lower your risk of infection for graduation, summer events, and fall events next school year. Thank you for your continued support in helping to keep our students, staff, and community safe!

Upshur County Schools will operate under remote instruction on April 1st and 5th. Students will now attend school in-person on March 31st and April 7th. April 2nd will remain a Non-Traditional Instructional Day (NTID) and students will learn remotely.
